Gasprilla kept the crowds away and made the fishing killer! We had a light chop in the AM and a calm PM - on the great, crystal clear "lake" of Mexico. We started our day at about 20 miles offshore. Our first fish was a NICE red grouper. We got a good work out with some Amberjack and Almaco jack then switched over into Hogfish mode... a true challenge and delicacy!
We moved 10 miles offshore and had a LOT OF ACTION... everyone on the boat went home with filets for the month! We loaded up on mangrove snappers and had some fun with catch and release gags. We even came home with a giant Sheephead and of course, the coveted Hogfish. Just take a look at this thing!
